But first, an update on my own preps.
As you can see in the picture below, I transplanted my window-sill romaine to a pot on my deck. Although there were a few little roots at the bottom of the stub, I gave my little plant a boost with some rooting hormone. Fingers crossed that I will get a free head of lettuce out of this.
I would not call this heavy duty gardening but still, my hands and especially my nails got pretty dirty. As luck would have it, earlier this week I made up a test batch of DIY Peppermint Hand Cleaner.
Oh, I am such a tease – sorry, no recipe today.
